Knowledge on mch components of NRHM (National rural health mission) among self help group women at selected community.

Maternal mortality and infant mortality are the key health indicators of any civilized society. They are the touch stone for a public health delivery system. Among various tools of achieving the goals of low maternal and infant mortality rate, the most important focus is to ensure on institutional delivery. The purpose of the study is to assess the knowledge on MCH components of NRHM(ASHA, Rogi Kalian Samiti, Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee, Jananisurakshayojana, Rashtriya balswasthiya karyakaram, reproductive maternal/new born and adolescent health strategy, weekly iron and folic acid supplement programme) among the self help group women. The findings revealed that among self help group women 20(50%) of them had inadequate knowledge and 20(50%) of the self-help group women had moderately adequate knowledge and none of them had adequate knowledge. The findings revealed that mean score of knowledge was 12.375 with the standard deviation of 3.342.
