Abstract

The aim of the descriptive study is to assess the knowledge regarding prevention of home accidents among mothers of toddlers at Vellore. A sample of 30 mothers of toddler was selected based on convenience sampling technique. The objectives of the study were to assess the knowledge regarding prevention of home accidents among mothers of toddlers. Thirty samples were collected by self structured 50 questionnaires to assess the knowledge regarding mothers of toddlers. The results showed that 1(3.3%) of mothers of toddler had adequate level of knowledge, 25(83.3%) of mothers of toddler had moderate level of knowledge, 4(13.3%) of mothers of toddler had inadequate knowledge regarding prevention of home accidents. There is a significant association between the previous knowledge regarding prevention of home accidents with selected demographic variables.
