A study to assess the knowledge regarding human milk banking among gnm students in vivekanandha college of nursing at Namakkal, Tamilnadu

The aim of the descriptive study is to assess the knowledge regarding Human Milk Banking among GNM students at Vivekanandha College of Nursing Elayampalayam. A sample of 30 students was was selected based on purposive sampling technique. The objectives of the study were to assess the knowledge regarding Human Milk Banking among III year GNM students. The data were collected by semi structured questionnaires. The results showed that level of knowledge regarding Human milk banking was 18(60%) had inadequate knowledge and 12(40%) had moderate knowledge. There is no significant relationship between knowledge and selected socio demographic variables such as age, family income, religion, dietary pattern, marital status, type of family, living area and sources of information.
