Among the different types of cancer cervical cancer kills 2,60,000 woman annually and nearly 85./. of these deaths occur in developing nations, where it is the leading cause of cancer death in woman. This can be preventable by proper screening and vaccination. The aim of the study was to find out the level of knowledge regarding various measures to prevent cervical cancer among girls between the age group of 12 - 15 years. A pre experimental research design and 50 samples were selected by random sampling technique.. With pre structured questionnaire the data was collected, slide show on awareness regarding the vaccination for the cervical cancer was given and post test was done. The data was complied and the result revealed that the knowledge was improved after the slide show.
