Cord blood banking is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to save baby's cord blood stem cells for potential medical uses. A Quantitative study was conducted with pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design in the antenatal clinic of TMMH among 60 antenatal mothers in 2018. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. In the pre-test, 85% of antenatal mothers had poor knowledge and 15% had good knowledge and 96.7% had poor attitude and 3.3% had good attitude. After the structured teaching programme both the knowledge and attitude scores were, 98.3% had good knowledge and attitude, 1.7% had poor knowledge and attitude respectively. The study concluded that STP regarding stem cells and cord blood banking was effective in improving the knowledge and attitude of antenatal mothers.
