Abstract

Neonatal jaundice is a common problem among infants, particularly during the first weeks of life. A descriptive study was conducted to assess the knowledge and attitude of ante natal mothers about the prevention of neonatal jaundice.

A quantitative research approach with comparative research design was adopted for the study.30 ante natal mothers were selected through Simple Random Sampling method.

The study results showed that 42% of antenatal mothers are having very good knowledge,34% are moderate knowledge and 24% are having poor knowledge and 37% are having positive attitude in prevention of neonatal jaundice, 32% have moderate attitude and 31% have negative attitude.
