A quasi experimental study to assess the effectiveness of bradley method on labour outcomes among parturient mothers admitted in selected hospital at erode

The study was conducted to determine whether the Bradley method made any significant difference in reducing labour outcomes in parturient mothers' women in a selected hospital at Erode. Aquasi experimental pre-test, post-test control group design was used. The data were collected from 30parturient mothers of which 15 were in experimental group and 15 in control group selected by using purposive sampling technique. The total duration of the study was 30 days. Questionnaire, Structured interview schedule and Observational checklist were used as tools for this study. The major findings of the study show that in the experimental group, mean score percentage on overall levels of labour outcomes before intervention was found to be 91%, after intervention there was a drastic reduction in the mean score to 47%. In control group, the mean score percentage on overall levels of labour outcomes before intervention was found to be 91% and after 30 days there was no much change in the mean score percentage (85%)
