Tuberous sclerosis is an ectodermal dysplasia inherited as a dominant trait and it affects the nervous system than other systems as it is manifested as mental retardation, epilepsy and tumours. The manifestations such as tubers nodules, cytochemical factors such as metabotropic glutamate receptor phospho-ribosomal protein S6 (pS6) a marker of mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway activation, ser240/244 and ser235/236, and developmental assessments mark the severity of the disease.
