1Assistant Professor,
Tourette syndrome is a common neurodevelopment disorder that begins in childhood or adolescence, characterized by multiple movement (motor) tics and at least one vocal (phonic) tic. Tourette syndrome occurs worldwide with common features in all cultures and races. Tourette Syndrome is at the more severe end of a spectrum of tic disorders and goes unnoticed by casual observers. Therefore, early and proper diagnosis and treatment are necessary in order to reduce or even eliminate both symptoms and social burden of the patient. This requires a multidisciplinary management approach in order to meet the patients’ special needs.
