Children are always vulnerable and adequate nutrition is essential for healthy growth and development. A quantitative pre experimental one group pre test post test design was used, 60 mothers were selected by non-probability convenient sampling technique. Pre test was conducted using semi-structured questionnaire. Post test was conducted after teaching on seventh day. Majority of the mothers had inadequate knowledge (78.33%) in pre- test and after the intervention, most of the mothers had adequate knowledge (80%). The difference in mean and standard deviation of knowledge score in pre test (10, ±2.58) and post test (20,25±1.71) was statistically significant at P≤0.001 which shows the effectiveness of the intervention.
