Road Safety Awareness Among School Children

The children are more vulnerable to road traffic accidents. The study was aimed at assessing the level of road safety awareness among schoolchildren. A descriptive correlation study was conducted at selected schools in Chennai among 250 school children. The data was collected by self-administration method. The findings of the study revealed that 14% of the students were well aware, 62.5% were moderately aware, 23.5% needs improvement in awareness about road. safety It is essential to conduct awareness program in schools and communities to impart knowledge on road safety.
