Abstract

Breakfast is widely acknowledged to be the most important meal of the day. The aim of the study was to improve knowledge regarding negligence of breakfast among the students. Pre- experimental one group pre-test and post-test design was adopted. Pre-test and Structured teaching programme was given initially and post-test was conducted after seven days of intervention. 36 (72%) students had adequate knowledge, a highly significant difference between the pre-test and post-test knowledge has been found out. Thus the structured teaching programme was effective in enhancing the knowledge of students on negligence of breakfast.
