Monitoring the growth of children is very important to detect the deviation from normal growth. A study was undertaken to assess the growth and development of the children between 2 to 5 years of age residing in Chennai. Quantitative evaluative approach and descriptive research design was used. Sixty children, 2-5 years and their parents were included, non-probability convenient sampling was used. Bio-physiological measurements and observation was used to collect data. Assessment of growth reveals that, 2-years and 3-years growth parameters are satisfactory. Developmental assessment reveals that the 2-years, 4-years and 5- years have attained all the developmental milestones.
