Effectiveness of Topical Application of Fresh Aloevera Gel on Phlebitis Among Children Received Intravenous Therapy

Phlebitis is the inflammation of a vein, which results in redness, swelling, and pain. The study was done with True experimental pre-test and post-test control group design among 60 hospitalized children with phlebitis between 1-12 years of age. The tool used for the study was questionnaire and modified visual infusion phlebitis scale. The results revealed that the calculated paired 't' test value (t= 14.3) was found statistically significant at p<0.001 level. The study findings concluded that fresh aloevera gel application was effective and reducing the phlebitis.
