Effectiveness of ice cube application upon pain perception of children during intra muscular injection

A true experimental research was carried out to compare the level of pain perception of children during intramuscular injection. By adopting systematic random sampling technique, 60 (30 experimental, 30 control) samples were selected. Ice cube application was given to experimental group. FLACC scale was used to assess the level of pain perception. The findings showed that the level of pain perception during intramuscular injection was less in experimental group compared to control group.
