The aim of the study is to assess the effectiveness of an educational module upon new born care among primi antenatal mothers. A quantitative approach with quasi experimental design (one group pretest and post-test design) was adopted. Simple random sampling technique (Lottery method) was used to select 300 samples. The Study findings showed that almost all ante natal mothers (97.6%) had inadequate knowledge before educational intervention which was improved as 93% of mothers showed adequate knowledge after the intervention. The study hence concludes that educational interventional programs can enhance mother's knowledge upon newborn care that would influence the newborn's health status.
