The study was conducted to assess the effectivenss of structured teaching programme on knowledge among staff nurses regarding umbilical cord blood banking. The research approach was quantitative in nature and one group pre-test post-test design was used. The samples were selected by convenient sampling technique. The reliability of the data collection tool was assessed by Cronbach's Alpha method. Data analysis revealed that there was a significant improvement in the level of knowledge among staff nurses regarding umbilical cord blood banking after the structured teaching programme (p<0.001) and there was no association between the level of knowledge among staff nurses regarding umbilical cord blood banking and selected socio-demographic variables.
