Abstract

Parenting continues to exist as the most demanding, taxing yet satisfying, pleasing and valuable experience which proves to be rewarding in its own perplexing ways. The aim of the study was to assess the impact of Perceived Parenting Style on Self-Esteem among High school children. Descriptive Co relational Research Design was used among 100 High school children who were selected using Purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by using Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale and Parental Authority Questionnaire. The results showed that the overall Perceived Authoritative and Permissive Parental Style significantly increased the Self Esteem of the High School Children.
