Abstract

Chronic Granulomatous Disease is a rare inherited immunodeficiency which affects White Blood Cells. Children with this condition have poor immunity and are vulnerable to chronic inflammation with frequent bacterial and fungal infections. This In this case study, a 3 years old boy had complaints of multiple episodes of fever; with cervical lymph node enlargement due to Chromobacterium sepsis and an abscess in the chest and groin region. He underwent Bone Marrow Transplantation as the prescribed treatment of the condition. disorder is characterized by the inability of phagocytes to generate oxygen radicals needed for intracellular killing of phagocytic microorganisms.
