Abstract

Hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS) is one of the major causes of acute renal failure in infants and young children. An one and half year old female baby was admitted in PICU with the complaints of fever for five days, loose stools for three days, vomiting for two days, facial puffiness for one day on 06.01.2020. The blood values were abnormal. Dengue serology was positive, peripheral smear showed thrombocytopenia, stool routine showed increased presence of bacteria. Stool color normalized with antibiotics. However, urine dipstick showed albumin and microscopic hematuria. The baby was discharged after 12 days of hospitalization.
