Abstract

Children with poor oral health are more likely to have restricted activity days. A Quasi experimental study was done to assess the knowledge of school children regarding oral hygiene with 30 children in control group and 30 in the experimental group. Health teaching regarding oral hygiene was given and children were made to play snake and ladder game during oral hygiene for 7 days. Post test was conducted on the 8th day. Significant difference was found between the respective areas and overall scores of post test between experimental and control group (t = 13.79) at P<0.001 level. The findings revealed that the play way method of teaching children was effective on oral hygiene.
