Children are the future in any nation and the major consumers of health care. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of an intervention package on knowledge regarding prevention of child abuse among care givers of school age children. Quasi - experimental pre-test post-test control group design and purposive sampling technique was used to select 100 caregivers for each study and control group. A semi structured questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge and in the very same day. On the same day, an intervention package on child abuse was administered and on the seventh day post test was conducted. The mean difference between pre test and post test score was 14.84 which was statistically significant at p<0.05 level and found that the intervention package was effective in imparting knowledge on child abuse among the caregivers.
