Social work intervention in disaster management

It is the responsibility of welfare state to provide all relief & rehabilitation facilities to citizen in any unexpected advertises. Government has planned & implemented activities to fulfill above commitment. India has formulated a policy for Disaster Management. The objectives of the India's National Policy for disaster reduction are three-folds. Social Work as a professional service based on scientific knowledge and professional skills in human relation to assist individuals alone or in group to cope up with their routine problems due to mal adjustment as well as any causality occurred in life, by using it‟s methods i.e. social case work, group work, community organization, as primary methods and social work research, social action & social work administration, as secondary methods in with he is equipped with knowledge and technical skills required to deal with people suffering in any natural or man made hardship
