The school social work profession is multifaceted and has extensive experience with systematic interventions. School social workers utilize multiple methods to identify problems and provide evidence-based intervention solutions. There is a belief that school social work is an accepted profession worldwide. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the progression of school social work research through a bibliometric study. Examining the annual development of publications, the highest affiliations, and the most cited authors and journals in this research dataset. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed using VOSviewer (Visualization of Similarities) and RStudio software to create visual representations of the analysis results. This study included only 1,149 published articles out of 3,995, which were published between 2000 and 2024. Results indicate that the school social work field has a variety of properties that reflect roles and responsibilities, as visualized through dense working areas and expected areas in the figures of “trends of topic” and “co-occurrence of keywords.” The analysis enhances the review’s quality by guiding researchers to the most pertinent documents and delineating publication areas.
