Abstract

Relation between politics and ethics is one of the hotly debated issues in social studies for over the centuries. Ethics is essential in politics to gain support from the people as well as to make our own life safe. Earlier the debate was comparatively easier as everything was judged from a fixed moral point of view and that was predominantly the religious one. The advent of modernity along with scientific and technological development has complicated the issue. The interface between political and morality is often very fuzzy. Globalization, international terrorism and the beginning of the cyber era have incorporated newer dimensions to the relationship every day. In this period where we have to strike a very fine balance between individual and collective needs and interests. Compromise in any sector has far reaching consequences. This is a perpetual dilemma in any analysis of the phenomenon. It is for this several related issues are increasingly been included in this arena, all of which require proper attention.
