Abstract

Social exclusion is a phenomena that having multiple dimensions and manifestation, effecting human life in various form of its existence whether as an individual or in groups in social life by adversely impeding their potential and capacity to grow and develop for achieving their wishes and worthiness of being human. Concept of social exclusion is not only limited within the discourse of social or economic theories, perhaps it is associated with many other discipline which talk about human wellbeing and development. Present paper focuses on social and psychological outcomes from process of social exclusion on human behaviour, mental schema and health. Paper deals with the findings of various researches and studies on the effect of discrimination, rejection, marginalization, and stigma on the individual's mental and physical health. An analysis of research findings lead to various psychological impact of social exclusion on individual, including range of negative emotions(anger, shame, sadness, jealousy, anxiety, frustration), personality disorder and poor physical health.
