This paper discussed the new connectivity patterns of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) thru communication technologies and remittances. Many OFWs have realized the potentials of the internet and resorted to the technology as a communication medium, which can help compensate for the physical absence of OFW spouses and parents in fulfilling familial duties thru regular and frequent correspondences. The economic aspect of this paper focuses on the remittances. Sending and receiving financial support is vital in maintaining the connectivity. It is a major concern of both the sending and receiving parties. It is an important element of relationship that the OFW fulfills his or her financial obligation and the left behind family acknowledges the money sent. It is part of the expectations in the relationship, other than the parties fulfilling their emotional and social obligations.
