These days globalization is a very common theme for the discussion and analysis of weaker sections and it has the potential of having a deep impact on their lives. Within the past two decades, globalization has created a tremendous impact on the lives of women/men in developing nations. The present paper is mainly based on the impact of globalization on Musahars community, a weaker section of Indian population. The Musahar community is one of the most backward and economically deprived communities of the country. The impact of globalization was seen in their life by collecting and analyzing the data collected from various secondary sources as well as personal interviews. The present anthropological study has been conducted in nine villages of Jaunpur district of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Various empirical data collected by different researchers in the field of Sociology, Anthropology and Economics etc. has been utilized in the interpretation of the present discourse regarding impact of globalization on studied community. The study concluded that the Musahar community has changed their cultural practices and traditional identity. Their occupational structure also has been changed as they pushed towards the new occupation. This pattern of change creates many structural strains in the Musahar's social structure.
