Media in and for tribal areas: An appraisal

Other than state role to ensure tribal rights for smooth and cozy existence in the democratic set up it is also a big challenge for media to come forward with the news of development of tribal and their areas under the different government policies. In fast growing economy and impact of hard survival due to crunch between population and natural resources, people in daily life are not aware about others who are also living in the same country and in this aspect only media is a good source to connect people with country and countrymen. In general practice media concentrates on state functioning, crime, game and films and they don't make any effort to give space to tribal India and due to this negligence tribes feel neglected and isolated people of the same country. To fill this psychological gap, media in and for tribal areas is an analysis to examine the impact of media on tribal community and its role to increase national integrity too. Present paper is an effort to analyze the role of media in tribal area and which types of news are coming under tribal media? is it creating constructive approach to connect tribal with the other parts and people of this country ? How do media increase national harmony and national integrity when its gives space to tribes of this country? Why do leading media presses or channels keep them away from tribal news? How do media come closer to tribal people with other people of India? All these points will be discussed in our proposed paper in depth
