Globalization as the major force has been affecting not only the Geo-political relationship among the nations for last two decades but it has a much wider manifestation of a human relationship which is dramatically changing the socio economic realities for many segments of the population of the world. One of the segment is youth who are most influenced by the repercussions of globalization. Globalization has not only created the many opportunities for achieving economic sustainability but it has also posed significant challenges to many social groups. It is very important to study the changing pattern and shift caused by globalization. This should be studied in relation to the various aspect of youths’ life for their growth and development and roles they associate themselves in different settings; in the family, in college, in peer groups and in the neighbourhood. These roles although under the impact of transition, need a new interpretation with reference to the challenges of enlightenment and their attitudes and aspirations need to be diagnosed and analysed under the impact of globalization. The present paper tries to discuss the micro and macro impact of globalization on young people's life. The paper also seeks to address aspirations, needs and opportunities that exist in this context, while at the same time examine the element of vulnerability, problems, challenges and lost opportunities.
