An empire holds under its fold various states consisting people who have different religions and culture. The contact of two diverse cultures gives rise to the need of understanding each other for better relation. When British imperial power got the political control of India, later they encountered the state of Kalati Balochistan also. The source of information about the people of Balochistan was the writings of the travellers who had travelled in the region in nineteenth century. Three British travellers had given interesting accounts of their journeys in the region. Their works presents two contradicting views on Baloches-two out of three travellers describes them as simple people whereas one traveller had given adverse comments on them. Thus to ascertain whether which of the view about the Baloches was more reliable-one which was based on non-judgemental basis or the other one, seeing Baloches through the glasses of colonial view, has been discussed in the research paper.
