Mahabharta is the story of feud between Kauravas and Pandavas who were governed by love and hate relationship and fought the Mahabharta war on the field of Kurukshetra. The war resulted in scores of dialogues and stories, which have become tales of wisdom for succeeding generations. The epic provided insights for philosophy and religion, war and peace, values and ethics, romance and worldly pleasures, deeper meaning of life, and tips for art of living. In this paper, within the backdrop of certain episodes and related conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna as exchanged during Mahabharta war, the paper seeks to identify some pertinent traits of a leader, which should enable him to act as an effective leader and inspire his team in different spheres of human endeavours.
