Abstract

Science and spirituality play complimentary role in life considering that while the former contributes for numerous physical comforts, the latter contributes for achieving calm and peace. A spiritual person keeps his mind focused on achieving higher level goals and believes in adhering to ethical values only. A spiritualist can never think of wasting any resource, be it, time, physical or natural resource, and may even plan to re-create them wherever feasible. Thus, science and spirituality, by definition are directed towards achieving efficiency and productivity in all activities, facilitating higher standards of quality-of-life and productivity growth, and living in harmony with environment. This paper looks at role of science and spirituality for productivity growth leading to higher levels of quality-of-life, work-life-balance, happiness, and sustainable growth.
