Creation of meaningful future of an organization depends on its human dimension. Tomorrow's organization is one that uses technology to amplify human capabilities; both in products and services it offers to its customers, and in the essentially human means by which they are created. Organizations that are going to succeed will be those that make it possible for individuals to make the highest and most creative individual contribution, and who see success as having its foundations in the abilities of confident people to make unique contributions. Only people can generate ideas and turn them into action, and future success is increasingly determined by abilities of an organization to express the ideas of its people quickly enough. Individuals in the organization are by far the most valuable resources. Most organizational competencies start with the individual skills and knowledge, and can develop expertise. Competence develops partly as an individual action learning process, through reflective learning between practice and cognition, to result in superior competitive positions and organizational excellence.
In fast changing environment, organizations must be capable of continually building new strategic assets faster and more cheaply than their competitors so that they can earn superior returns and generate long-term competitive advantage. In order to face challenges and stay competitive, organizations must focus their human capital that exploit to maximize the effect of their competencies and create unique value to the customer. The growth and strengthening of core competence depend on a great extent on the flexible approach adopted by people involved in organizations. In this research paper a case study has been developed to find out learning issues related to core competence and people in the organization. The study is based on Flexible Systems Methodology that has been conducted through interviews. The study indicates that organizations that want to excel in present competitive industry scenario have to focus on select core competencies by adopting flexibility, and being visionary, outward looking and people oriented.
