Abstract

The flora of mathura district contains a total number of 507 species belonging to 321 genera of 97 families. The ratio between monocot versus dicot taxa—Families (1:5.4), Genera (1:3.7) & Species (1:3.2). Most dominant family of this area is Leguminosae and Cyperus is the largest genus with 15 species.
