An account of 57 ethnomedicinal plant species belonging to 43 families used extensively by the traditional healers in different parts of Devipatan Division (U.P.) has been given, showing rich diversity in terai belt of Uttar Pradesh. Each species is alphabetically arranged with botanical name, local names and family. An attempt has been made to document the ethnophy to therapeutics and folk claims of the plant parts used alongwith their medicinal uses.
