Abstract

Tharu, an important tribe of Uttar Pradesh, live in a number of forested villages in Terai belt of Uttar Pradesh along Indo-Nepal border endowed with vast knowledge of medicinal plants. Present communication deals with 20 important plant species used against various hair disorders, viz.: hair fall, dandruff and graying of hair etc. and as hair tonic by Tharu tribe in Devipatan division with prime objective of documentation. Present study was under taken in 46 villages of Devipatan division.
