Chloroform leaf extract of Calotropis procera in different concentrations (range 1000–7000 ppm) were screened for antidermatophytic activity against different human pathogenic fungi responsible for tinea and other skin infections. All dermatophytes showed maximum inhibition at 6000 ppm concentration and decrease inhibition rate at 7000 ppm concentration on sixth day incubation period. The most susceptible fungi were Aspergillus niger and Microsporum canis in contrast to Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Microsporum fulvum, which were less sensitive.
