Abstract

Effects of certain physico-chemical factors, viz., pH and temperature, duration of UV-irradiation and different concentrations of glucose and amino acids (glycine and alanine) have been studied on the life cycle of Saprolegnia diclina Harvey. UV-irradiation and the concentration variations of the biochemicals have been found to affect the life cycle of Saprolegnia diclina significantly whereas variations in the physical factors like pH and temperature have been observed to have least effect.
