Effect of Storage Period on Seed Viability of Jatropha curcas L.

Jatropha curcas L. (physic nut) is an important biofuel crop. It belongs to family Euphorbiaceae. In the present study, seed viability of different storage periods have been tested by germination as well as by tetrazolium test methods. The results show maximum viability in the seeds of 1 year storage period seeds while minimum viability was recorded in the seeds of 4 year storage period.
