The present study was made in Sarsainawar and adjacent areas of Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh. Sarsainawar is a northern part of district known for its vast herbal flora. About 21 plant species belonging to 17 families used in the homeopathic system of medicine are highlighted in the present study along with their taxonomic description including botanical name, family, common name, plant's part used, medicine name, and homeopathic uses for ailment against which the medicines are used. The collected plant specimens were identified, taxonomically defined and submitted in the herbarium of Department of Botany, DBS College, Kanpur, for future records.
