In-vitro Shoot regeneration in Mimosa pudica L.

The species of Mimosa pudica has been subjected to morphogenic studies for the first time from Jharkhand and it is the maiden report as well from our country. The cotyledons and epicotyls, cultured on MS basal medium, exhibited regeneration of shoots. However, subcultures of cotyledons yielded shoot regeneration only. After the 3^rd sub cultures, plantlets had the potential to develop roots as well. Hypertrophy and callusing were quite evident in different concentrations.
