Formation of blastospore and chlamydospore was studied in relation to aflatoxin synthesis along with other cultural methods in Aspergillus jlavus isolates. The development of these structures occurr in both toxigenic and non-toxigenic isolates; but, most of the aflatoxigenic isolates show their presence, suggesting the potential use of this character (morphological marker) in screening ofA. jlavus isolates for aflatoxigenecity.
