Stability Analysis for Yield and Yield Attributes in Early Vegetable Pea (Pisum Sativum L.) Genotypes

Thirty three pea genotypes grown in three consecutive years were evaluated for the stability of days to 50% flowering, number of pods/plant, average pod weight, number of seeds/pod, yield/plant and shelling percent. Significant differences existed among years, genotypes and genotypes x years interaction for all traits. Based on individual parameters of stability (X_i, b_i and S²_di), genotype VRPE-22 and VRPE-6 were found stable i n performance over the years. The genotype VRPE-20 had significantly higher regression coefficients along with mean val ues above general mean for pod yield/plant indicating the scope for improve performance under favourable environment.
