Abstract

The world is going digital; we can see it all around us in healthcare, governance, education, finance, trade, commerce, agriculture and transportation etc. India is also moving very fast on the way to digitalize. Digital India Programme is transforming India into a digitally empowered society. The major ICT initiatives of the Government included, some major projects such as railway computerization, land record computerization, etc. are facilitating citizens to easy access to information. Many states have started ambitious individual e-governance projects aimed at providing electronic services to citizens. Digital innovations have also changed the face of medical sector. It has enabled medical professionals the most to serve the human since the gestation till the last breath of life and even assist to solve the mysteries of one's death. Today digital technologies are very commonly used in health sector. At present, most of the pathology tests, body check-ups, diagnosis and treatments etc. are depending upon digital technologies. It has revolutionized the health sector and shaped the way for combating diseases and making people healthier in future.

This paper is aimed to highlight digital innovations in healthcare, its impacts on human health and environment, and related issues and challenges. The research methodology adopted, is descriptive and non-empirical.
