Abstract

Sugar industry is one among the industries, responsible for pollution. The operations made by Sugar industry have the potential to cause a variety of impacts on the environment. These impacts depend on the process stage, the size and type of operation, the technology employed; the nature and sensitivity of the general condition and the effectiveness of the planning, pollution prevention, mitigation and control techniques. The sugar creation measure is known to deliver generous degrees of gas squander, strong waste, water, and clamor contamination. Adoption of highly polluted wastewater (WW) from sugar factories poses a considerable threat to health and environment. The current levels of the emission of pollutants in sugar cane industry, even though they are lower than in other industrial sectors, can be reduced with existing prevention control technologies down to the levels required by the standards in force. A clean production and efficiency could make the sugar cane industry recover its economical importance and constitute one of the bases of sustainable development of those regions where sugar cane is cultivated. The objective of this study to discuss the Environmental problem related to sugarcane industry.
