The rise of cybercrime presents a significant challenge to law enforcement agencies worldwide, necessitating innovative technological solutions. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful tool in the fight against cybercrime, offering capabilities in predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and digital forensics. This paper explores the current applications of AI in cybercrime prevention and detection, including predictive policing, facial recognition, and automated threat monitoring. It also examines emerging AI-powered investigation techniques such as AI-driven digital forensics, threat intelligence analysis, and automated report generation. However, integrating AI into criminal law enforcement raises ethical and regulatory concerns, including privacy, bias, accountability, and legal compliance. This paper highlights these challenges and proposes actionable recommendations, including developing clear regulatory frameworks, investment in law enforcement training, fostering public trust, and continuous monitoring of AI systems. By balancing technological advancements with ethical and legal safeguards, AI can serve as a transformative force in cybercrime enforcement while upholding fundamental rights and principles.
