In 21st century, working women is a reality and number of women working in organized as well as unorganized sector is increasing day by day. The suppressed voice of women is slowly being heard and noticed. Working women are bent upon capturing every field be it in the manufacturing sector, service sector, from traditional to non-traditional jobs. Women are putting their step ahead in the direction of attaining progress and no field is exception to the same. In spite of this, today's working women face many challenges at workplace and the challenges posed before today's working women are discussed in detail in this article. Unless these challenges are taken care of by the women themselves, by the society and by the policy makers human resource development in the right direction will not be possible in the near future. At the end of the article, the government's policies in helping the working women to face the challenges are also discussed.
