No doubt science and technology is a boon to human beings. It had made those things possible which our fore father or ancestors or fore ancestors would not have imagined. It had made impossible things possible. Certain inventions of the science looks like miracle, Pre-Natal-Diagnostic Test is one such miracle. The Science has given us a technology and it is upon the human being how he uses it. Many Indians are still trapped in age-old traditional beliefs. Here, "old beliefs" means the mindset of people who still find themselves in the trap of girl-boy inequality. The liberal Indian society has failed to transform the other orthodox India. No doubt India is advancing at a fast pace in the field of science and technology, and also in adapting of the western culture, but if we look at the grass root level, the picture is not so rosy; it is rather a dark, especially when it comes to how we treat the fairer sex. This article tries to find out the reason for the divergent use of the technology of sex determination. The study tries to find out the responsibility of seeker and doer for female feticide. What are the reasons for such practices by the society and how the problem could be sorted out.
