Climate change is increasingly influencing various aspects of human activity, including sports participation and selection. This paper explores the impact of changing environmental conditions-such as rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and air quality deterioration-on how populations engage in different sports. As certain regions become less hospitable for traditional outdoor activities, shifts in sporting preferences are emerging, with indoor sports and climate-resilient activities gaining popularity. Heat stress, air pollution, and unpredictable weather patterns are not only affecting athlete performance but also influencing public participation in recreational sports. The research focuses on how climate-adaptive strategies, such as changes in event scheduling, infrastructure upgrades, and technological innovations, are reshaping the sports landscape. Furthermore, this paper analyzes how specific populations, particularly those in vulnerable regions, are disproportionately affected, leading to unequal access to safe sports opportunities. By examining current trends and future projections, this study aims to provide insights into the growing relationship between climate change and the evolving world of sports, with implications for sports policy, infrastructure, and health promotion.
